Technology advisory — the question behind the question

Sometimes the best advice is: build nothing. Twenty years as a business analyst in banking and investment environments teaches you to turn messy questions into clear decisions — that is what you hire here.

What to bring

Software choices you cannot settle. An agency quote you want a second opinion on. A process that keeps jamming while everyone names a different tool. The question whether AI means anything for your business — without the hype.

Short and concrete: you get clear advice with the trade-offs included, written so you can explain it yourself to whoever decides.

Why independence matters

I sell no licences, no team hours, and no maintenance contracts. If the best answer is someone else’s off-the-shelf product, then that is the advice.

That makes the advice occasionally uncomfortably honest — and exactly that makes it usable.

What it costs — honestly

Advisory goes per half-day or per question, with a fixed amount agreed up front. A second opinion on a quote or a decision question is usually one or two half-days of work.

If more turns out to be needed, you hear it up front — not on the invoice.

One email is enough to start. Write briefly what you want to build or improve — you get an honest answer and a practical next step, not a sales call.
